Ripley Corp is one of the leading companies in the financial retail sector in Chile and Peru, responsible for the retail sale of clothing, accessories and home products through department stores and the online channel.
OBJECTIVE
Redesign the interface of 4 main sections of the online store to stylize it and give it a more “festive” appearance, also align the design with the identity of the 2019 Christmas campaign, promote Sebastian Yatra (Latin singer) as the new brand ambassador and his “gnomes” as campaign characters.
The client specifically maintained the structure of the page, so I focused mainly on the decoration and application of colors.
Being a brand with a quite specific identity, I used its red and gold colors to give it the Christmas touch, I also applied transparency to the gold to obtain more color options without affecting the graphic line. Also, I was allowed to play with the fonts for the visual headlines since they would be taken as part of the promotional images.
I replaced the colors in titles, frames (black with gold and red) and used decorative ornaments in the backgrounds to strengthen and give more presence to the theme. I took advantage of the section limits (I added Christmas trees) and positioned the characters (elves/magical animals) without affecting the informative content.
