Makine is a General Motors authorized Chevrolet dealer with over 15 years of experience in the industry. It has comprehensive sales, spare parts, and workshop services offices in Peru and has established itself as one of the dealers with the most experience and importance.

OBJECTIVE

Create a website focused on promoting "online purchasing action" through the implementation of a sales platform that shows the different services and allows the user to find information easily following the graphic and visual guidelines of the Chevrolet brand.

Problem! At the time of starting the website development phase, the client specified that it should be done in Hubspot (a CRM platform that has a website creation tool).

This forced us to rethink and redesign the website considering the available number of components that the platform allowed us to use, the look and adaptability limitations of the platform, also, the results and responses obtained from user interviews.

I combined and retouched images to create items and elements that simulate the desired components, also so that the backgrounds are not altered when changing devices/dimensions (attempt to get a correct responsive design).

For the structure, I tried to order the content following the cell/box limitations offered by the platform. Also, I focused on the high use of images but applied transparency and color filters on backgrounds and images to separate sections. Finally, I played with different shades of gray to have more application variation in the design.

Face-to-face interviews were conducted (database clients) focused solely on desired promotional and informative content.

Contextual Inquiry: Observation of user behavior and interaction in sales premises and commercial stores.

Card sorting with the company team (client) to only define the content hierarchy in the specific sections proposed by the client.

A/B Test for the selection of proposals visual interface - prior to problem (served as a visual guide)

Online/print surveys (sales locations) focusing on: reasons for visits, product attractions, and informational and promotional interests.
