Professional Experience
RCF Design – Principal
2005 – Present
I’ve always had a hard time labeling RCF Design, to be honest I don’t really try anymore. It’s really become more of a personal brand for me, and like most user experience professionals, labels and job titles don’t define the work that we actually do. I design and build digital products, I love solving problems and I love working with great people. Sometimes those problems are on a small freelance project for a local children’s museum and my role may start with sketches and wireframes and end with a delivered product, sometimes those problems are in a room reservation system for a fortune 500 company with my role being to design a mobile interface and I get to work with a great team of product managers, information architects and programmers but often times that problem isn’t even mine and my role is to critique and challenge the designers on my team.
ALSAC/St Jude Children’s Research Hospital – Interactive Designer/UI Developer
